Driving Unforgettable Experiences
may open house
Harwood Motors’ first open house at our all-new showroom on Miles Rd. Lots of visitors and even quite a few interesting cars in the parking lot, despite the stormy weather. It’s always great to visit with fellow enthusiasts!
canton classics
A fantastic day tour that took us to Canton Cars & Coffee in the morning, a relaxing lunch stop, and a visit to the Canton Classic Car Museum. We had nearly a dozen cars with us on the drive, which stretched from Cleveland to Canton and back again on some of the area’s most scenic country roads.
packards & power tools
Another day tour, this time to the Youngstown area. First stop was TP Tools in Canfield, for a guided tour of their personal car collection. We also had the opportunity to shop at the TP Tools store, with everyone grabbing something useful for their shops. Next stop was lunch, followed by a trip to the National Packard Museum in Warren OH, a museum many participants had never seen before.
emerald necklace
A fall tour with beautiful colors, it was an opportunity to explore the Cleveland Metroparks’ “Emerald Necklace.” Wrapping around the city from east to west, it offers winding roads, reasonable speeds, and low traffic, perfect for vintage cars. After an ideal drive through the Metroparks, participants enjoyed some awesome pizza at Dewey’s Pizzeria in Lakewood, OH, then a trip up the street to East Coast Custard for some frozen treats. The trip back to the east side was again through the Metroparks, wrapping up a great day of driving.
shakespeare, eh?
A fantastic 5-day tour of southern Ontario, Canada for pre-war Full Classics. Stops included the Stratford Shakespeare Festival for a live performance, displaying our cars on the show field at the Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance, and an afternoon at the Grand Bend Motorplex where we ran our cars down the dragstrip. Of course, there were great meals and smooth roads in-between, adding up to one of the best car weeks many participants had ever experienced.
buckeye 250
GearBox Events managed the Buckeye 250 Transportation Celebration. Coinciding with the America 250 celebration, it brought together collector cars, trains, and vintage aircraft in the railroad town of Dennison, OH. With more than 300 cars in attendance, it was a big success for the town and the Buckeye 250 celebration.
2026 judging seminar
In preparation for the 2026 Stan Hywet Father’s Day Car Show, GearBox Events hosted a training session for the show judges. With the help of Harwood Motors, judges participated in a classroom session with Q&A, and then some hands-on judging of three cars in the Harwood Motors showroom. Good judges make for great car shows!
road of the year 2026
A three-day trip to central Pennsylvania to enjoy PA Route 144, which was named Hagerty’s 2026 “Road of the Year.” With carefully mapped routes to and from Route 144, it included fantastic scenery, smooth pavement, and a few interesting stops, including the Drake Well Museum, home of the first oil well in the US. Open to any vehicle, everyone had a great time challenging themselves on the twisting pavement of Route 144.
